Let's Talk about life
UTAH COUNTY TALK LINE
Closing our doors.
For nearly 50 years, we have served Utah County residents. We have thoroughly loved our work and are sad to see our funding cease, causing us to close our doors on June 30th, 2020. To everyone who has served or been served by this organization, we thank you! It has been our pleasure and privilege to be a part of your life.
Depression, divorce, job loss, loneliness, --everyone goes through difficult times in their lives, but no one should have to suffer alone. If you are in need of emotional support, connection, or resources, call the Utah County Talk Line (801-691-LIFE) to speak to one of our volunteers. Our Talk Line is a free and confidential listening line, and is available 9am- 9pm, Monday through Friday. Everyone should have a “safe” person they can call in difficult times, let us be there for you. We are just a phone call away.
FREE & NON-JUDGMENTAL
You'll never be charged for a Talk Line call. When you call, a volunteer will listen to what you have to say--judgement free. Our volunteers are not counselors or therapists, but are ready to provide immediate support for anyone in need. We also provide basic coping skills education and community connection to programs and services.
When you call the Talk Line, any information you give us will be kept confidential. Calls are anonymous, and none are audio recorded. We understand that sometimes it's easier to talk to someone you don't know, and we'll always respect your privacy and your safety.
CRISIS PLANNING AND RESOURCES
Need help planning how you will deal with a crisis, but not sure where to look? Let our volunteers help you find what you need. We'll walk you through crisis planning or find resources for you; what ever you need, we're here. We utilize the United Way 2-1-1 database to help you find resources nearby, in your community. You are never out of options.
